The reason this happens is that the company laying sod doesn't do proper testing of the soils pH levels. It takes less time to put down the right side than it does to fix the soil pH level. Curb appeal can not take place without the proper lawn, and maintenance of that lawn. I'd recommend that every new homeowner have a soil pH test done in order to ensure they have the right type of grass. We gladly do this for all our new customers. We only charge $15.40, which is the cost of the test, and shipping of the test to Florida University.
